Delay recording
The camera itself has good build quality. I like the features it offers, and the app is also well designed and easy to use. However, there is one major disappointment: the delay when recording starts after motion is detected. Because the camera is battery-powered, it goes into standby to save power, which causes a noticeable delay before it begins recording. As a result, it often misses the main action. Personally, I would be happy to charge the camera once a week if it could monitor continuously and start recording immediately instead of going into standby. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem possible, even with the available app settings.

The product looked good and well made. BUT I could not get the item to accept a WiFi signal to initiate it's starting procedure. Forced to return item to Argos as unable to use.

This model is designed as a fixed-position camera, meaning it cannot be controlled remotely to move left, right, up, or down within the app. However, the camera is equipped with a magnetic mount, which allows you to manually adjust its viewing angle during installation. It also features a wide field of view, enabling it to cover a broader area even without pan and tilt capabilities.
If you are looking for a camera with remote movement features such as pan and tilt, you may consider other models within the Tapo lineup that are specifically designed with these functions."

All Tapo devices required Wi-Fi for configuration. Once set up, if your internet connection goes down, TP-Link smart device still can be controlled on the app, allowing you to perform basic functions like viewing the camera live view. However, features that rely on cloud services, such as automation, won't be available during these interruptions, unless it is a local smart automation that is handled by a Tapo smart hub. Note:
1) Smart home devices require Wi-Fi to be configured to the app.
2) To maintain control during internet outages, make sure your phone is connected to the same local Wi-Fi network as your devices.

C425 kit just bought it and it is not magnetic base, it is just like in pictures held with 3 screws. There seems to be two versions of C425 and maybe other version is but this one is not.
