We have it for about 2 weeks on our back garden ,so far it's ok but sometimes taking too long to load or it's unable because of the network,I guess router needs to be closer.

The product looked good and well made. BUT I could not get the item to accept a WiFi signal to initiate it's starting procedure. Forced to return item to Argos as unable to use.

Impressive for solar powered
This is the 3rd one of these we have. Purchased the first 2 a year ago but was skeptical about the solar panel keeping them charged and them having enough power to work properly, especially during a gloomy winter. They have proved to work extremely well for that year, the batteries charge during the day and are powerful enough to keep the cameras running during the night. Great night as well as day pictures. I purchased 256GB micro sd cards to go in them which the camera rewrites when full.

Bought as a quick response to an attempted burglary during building work on my house. Easy to install and so far seems very reliable, withstanding various weather conditions it's still allerting to any movement and providing instant visibility of what's going on. I got this item from online shopping in Argos as they had stock of the camera. The price was great too. Collecting it was very easy and fast. After that I had it installed with in a few hours. Nice neat item.

It works!!
Bought this for my parents . It works , but......can be a pain connecting to internet . Had to reset it , and then perfect !! Had this with Tapo cameras previously. Too early to say if solar panel is any good

All Tapo devices required Wi-Fi for configuration. Once set up, if your internet connection goes down, TP-Link smart device still can be controlled on the app, allowing you to perform basic functions like viewing the camera live view. However, features that rely on cloud services, such as automation, won't be available during these interruptions, unless it is a local smart automation that is handled by a Tapo smart hub. Note:
1) Smart home devices require Wi-Fi to be configured to the app.
2) To maintain control during internet outages, make sure your phone is connected to the same local Wi-Fi network as your devices.

C425 kit just bought it and it is not magnetic base, it is just like in pictures held with 3 screws. There seems to be two versions of C425 and maybe other version is but this one is not.

Tapo C425 does not support record 24/7, it can only record when motion is detected. If you prefer 24/7 recording camera, you may have a look at these models:

All Tapo smart devices can be managed and controlled by Tapo app. Tapo App is compatible with mobile devices, such as Android phones, iPhones, and tablets. You can download the Tapo app for free from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
The Tapo app requires Android version 5.0 and up or iOS version 11.0 and up for download. The OS requirements may change with future releases; please check your app store for the latest information.
Note: Currently, there is no plan to support additional operating systems such as Windows Phone, Kindle, or Kindle Fire. The Tapo App is exclusively available for mobile devices and not for computers.
