The Silentnight Lilith Double Velvet Bed Frame gives you a place to unwind at the end of the day. There's a padded headboard that supports you while you're reading or watching television in bed. The upholstered frame is covered in soft velvet fabric that feels smooth to the touch. Winged sides give it a distinct look that stands out in your bedroom. It's built on a wooden slatted base that supports your mattress and lets air circulate underneath. Wooden legs keep it stable and lift the frame off the floor.
The adjustable side rails rotate to fit both deep and shallow mattresses, giving you flexibility when it's time to replace your mattress. The slatted base spreads weight evenly and helps prevent moisture build-up. It's a double size that fits standard bedroom spaces. The charcoal velvet finish works with most bedroom colours and styles. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings included. Comes with a five year parts and labour guarantee.
Adjustable side rails can be rotated to accommodate a deep or shallow mattresses. Whilst the wooden slatted base provides excellent mattress support and airflow.

Not perfect
The bed feels strong and the external finish is good. There are a number of points to note. The parts of the bed on the inside and to the rear of the headboard are covered in a white coloured material and I can see this potentially become dirty very easily. I would have expected a black coloured material to be more of an appropriate covering which may not be prone to show any marks as easy. The reversible side rails are a very good idea as there can be used to take a shallow or deep mattress. Although the bed purchased was a double, the double mattress fits very snuggly into the frame. I was disappointed with the finishing on the internal side of one the side rails as the cotton material was not stapled tightly and the staples have effectively gone through the material creating staple size holes in the material. This will clearly become worse as the bed sheets are tucked in / out and I can see this becoming a problem later on. The material used is quite thin and I would have expected a more resilient to be used. The bed has a good guarantee. The bed also has flat pieces of wood for the base which is a first for the bed frames we have previously purchased. Previous beds frames have had slightly curved ribs on the base which give some flex. I would advise anyone looking at the bed frame to look at the assembly instructions video on the Silentnight website before making a purchase. This gives a full view of the bed in terms of the content of each of the three packs it arrived in. It shows slats provided for the for the base and the colour of the cotton material used on the inner bed. For the price with the Argos code used, it is a fair price for the quality of the bed.

Very well designed
I'm more than happy with my bed , the build quality is fantastic and beyond my expectations. I'm very impressed with the thought that's gone into the sizing of the frame , allowing my duvet to tuck in tight , giving me a nice taught bed to come home to after a hard day's work. Excellent 👌

The headboard on the Silentnight Lilith Superking Fabric Bed Frame - Stone Grey is 100cm high, there is a choice of leg height, either 12cm or 16cm depending on the mattress thickness chosen.
