We were looking for a waterproof bathroom light that wasn't a standard flush fit circle. We find this and decided to take a punt as it was very reasonably priced compared to similar products. What a great fixture for the price. Made our new bathroom look much more high end. Would recommend.
Nice design but that is where it starts and ends the manufacturing quality has skipped quality control and just gone straight to Argos. Very unfinished and so rough tot he point where there was a sharp lumpy bit of metal around the main part that comes down on he fitting. It was returned.

You would need a relatively small bathroom for this light to light it up well. Unfortunately, it didnt work for me. I was also surprised by how cheap and flimsy it looked for the price.

I bought these for my bathroom very pleased with them they look very modern
Our supplier has advised that the Habitat Opal Metal Bathroom Flush Ceiling Light - Black doesn't specifically provide power to an extractor fan. 'The fan must be connected separately within the lighting circuit using its own permanent live, neutral and switched live connections, normally via a 3‑pole isolator for safe maintenance.'
The Habitat Opal Metal Bathroom Flush Ceiling Light - Black requires 4 bulbs with a maximum wattage of 4 watts each. This means the 4-watt specification is per bulb, not the total output.

It is classed as a bathroom light as it has an IP Rating of 44 which means it offers protection against solid objects larger than 1mm (fine tools and wires, nails, screws, larger insects and other potentially invasive small objects) and protection against splashing water from any direction, tested for a minimum of 10 minutes with an oscillating spray (limited ingress permitted with no harmful effects).
Other areas of the house do not necessarily require this level of protection.

Having checked, this has an IP rating of 44 so it's designed for use in a bathroom but, as the requirements for water and moisture resistance are much less in other rooms, such as a living room, it could still also be used in a living room.
All light fittings must be fitted in accordance with wiring regulations from the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and current building regulations. We recommend you employ a qualified electrician and that manufacturer's fitting instructions are followed.
