Minimal speakers
To be honest if I had the change again I wouldn’t buy theee speakers. Look great but don’t really give enough oompf to warrant their price tag. Connectivity to multiple outputs is disappointing. Bluetooth is ok but klunky.

Lovely Sound
I have been using the TT & speakers for a few months & I am pleased with the sound quality, The only downside is there is no remote control for the volume. The review asks for a battery life review. The speakers work off mains & not batteries!

Great sound
I bought this a month ago primarily to use as monitor speakers when I DJ. When not used in the booth I use it at home. Both the wired and Bluetooth connections work very well, the sound is clear with a punchy base. Everything I expected from Pioneer DJ.

Great speakers, nice upgrade from my old pair
I bought these speakers this year to replace the Pioneer DJ DM-40 without bluetooth as the fuse had blown and the model had been discontinued. Very happy with the sound quality and the fact that these are the upgraded bluetooth model. No complaints thus far, sound is great, size is ideal and connection is easy.

Hello There
After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Pioneer DJ DM-40D-BT Bluetooth Speakers.
Yes, the DM-40D-BT speakers work as an active, passive pair and they must be linked together with the supplied speaker wire.
The left speaker contains the amplifier, inputs and Bluetooth receiver, the right speaker is passive.
You connect your audio source to the left speaker via Bluetooth, RCA or 3,5 mm, then connect left to right using the included two-core speaker cord that fits into the red and black spring terminals.
Only the left speaker connects to mains power.
What is in the box, power cord, speaker cord, 3,5 mm to RCA audio cable, bottom cushions and quick start guide.
Important notes, the speakers do not form a completely wireless stereo pair, Bluetooth is only for the source to the left speaker, the link between speakers remains wired.
Thank you for using Q&A.

Hello ethan,
The Pioneer DJ DM-40D-BT Bluetooth Speakers produces pure, balanced bass sound thanks to a new Class D amplifier with 96kHz sampling DSP.
The new speaker design combines key elements from the popular DM-40 unit with brand-new components and features to create a more powerful and higher quality sound.
The grooves on the ducts reduce air friction so bass is tight and punchy, even if you position the speakers against a wall. Plus, the curved front edges provide maximum rigidity and minimum resonance for clean audio at any volume level.

Hello Mel,
The supplier has advised the following for the Pioneer DJ DM-40D-BT Bluetooth Speakers:
"Yes, the Pioneer DJ DM-40D-BT speakers are compatible with the Audio Technica AT-LP5X turntable. Use the RCA outputs from the turntable connected to the RCA inputs on the speakers, ensuring the turntable’s phono/line switch is set to Line to match the speakers’ input level. Bluetooth can be used for casual wireless playback but is not recommended for critical listening or DJing."
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Conn,
The supplier has advised the following for the Pioneer DJ DM-40D-BT Bluetooth Speakers:
“ As stated in the DM-40D-BT manual, the maximum communication distance is 10m.
The specifications are Bluetooth Ver. 5.2 Class 2.
However, we are unable to provide an accurate response because Bluetooth products can have unstable communication due to the following factors, etc.
・When there is radio wave interference from devices such as microwave ovens
・When the radio wave path is blocked by surrounding metal, moisture, human bodies, or obstacles
In this case, the music is being played in the next room, so it is possible that it will be affected by the thickness of the walls or the furniture.
We apologize that we cannot give a definite answer, as it will depend on the situation.
There is a possibility that it can be improved by moving the speakers and device closer together, changing the position of the furniture, leaving the door open, or stopping things that generate radio waves. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
