The Philips DST7020/20 Steam Iron performs well with powerful steam and quick heat-up. However, many users are disappointed by the short cord length, which hinders usability.

We all know - the leads too short
I purchased this iron, to replace another relatively new iron FROM another brand that kept leaking. This iron is much lighter not as much steam and shorter lead. The leads / cables all need to stay at a standard length as this is ridiculous now. I think generally all irons will succumb to the same faults (leaks, water spray stops working, steam not enough)

Great iron but cord is short
The iron does its job well excelling in all aspects. Unfortunately the short cord lets it down. We had to rearrange the room to get the ironing board and iron closer to a power point.

Great iron
Bought this as a gift for a family member who is going into the army (so loads of ironing to be done). Great price (was on offer for £70 instead of £90) and they have told me that the iron works well and are pleased with it (and they didn’t mention anything about the length of cord being too short like some other reviews, seems most cords at 2m length these days). Would recommend.

Great iron
This iron is great, plenty of steam and heats up quickly. It is on the heavy side but I’m used to that now b

9/10 for this Iron
This is a really good iron. Timer if it is not in use, automatically turns off, lightweight, good sized plate on it. Good results. The only downside is the cable is way too short. Nowhere near long enough to reach the other end of the ironing board to do a shirt collar or shoulder detail on a garment. I have to use an extension lead. A disappointing key feature to an otherwise really good iron.

It does the job
I bought this as it was similar to my last one which stopped steaming after about 5 years. It's fine. I wished they did other colours.

Does the job
Iron itself does the job. Glides nicely on any clothing. Only minus is the shortish cable. I'm a tall person needing a high iron board = extension lead required for low sockets. A little heavy too, but lm happy with it
