The HDJ-CX professional on-ear DJ headphones are specially designed to minimise stress to your neck and body while helping you maximise your potential for artistic expression through today's dance music. With a minimalist but strong design, and tight, wide-ranging audio, the concept is quite different from the HDJ-X Series headphones, which produce a more spacious sound and feature a chunkier construction. The HDJ-CX model offers you a special experience which could even change your style of DJing.
You can wear the HDJ-CX comfortably from your first mix to your last. Weighs just 136g without the cable, they're rugged and built to last. What's more, the stainless steel headband features a ladder-like structure for extra flexibility and stress resistance so you can easily find your perfect fit.
Set your headphones up the way you like by choosing from the 2 supplied cables – straight or coiled. To make sure you never lose your ¼ plug adapter, clip the adapter holder neatly onto your cable so it's always at hand.
All the components are extra tough, including the steel core of the headband. Made to withstand the rigors of constant use on the road, they've passed demanding tests that other professional Pioneer DJ headphones are subjected to, as well as the stringent US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H Shock test.

Fell to pieces within six weeks.
The screws holding the headset together all fell out within six weeks after purchase. It seems it is now down to me to take this up with Pioneer….

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Pioneer DJ HDJ-CX DJ On-Ear Wired Headphones - Black: The Pioneer DJ-HDJ-CX headphones only offers some functionality if wanting to be used for phone calls.
They do not come with a microphone feature however, you can use them for listening during a call.
As they're equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, they'll likely require an adapter to connect to a phone e.g. an iPhone requiring a Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter.

The plug by default is a 3.5mm jack connection. It then has a threaded plug to allow a 1/4" or 6.3mm adapter to allow a larger standard Jack to be used.
