About this product
The active VM-70 produces clear audio with fast-attacking, punchy bass. The speaker can be tuned to suit the characteristics of any room, making it perfect for recreating a club sound when you're DJing or providing a flat frequency response when you're producing music in a home or professional studio setting. All VM series speakers are voiced flat to ensure you hear the natural sound of the music.
DSP Control - To help you tweak the output and find the sound that's perfect for the room you're working in, speaker includes DSP settings. On the rear panel, you'll find 2 knobs: Low EQ and High EQ. Choose the one that sounds best for DJing or producing music in your home or studio, depending on the shape, size, and construction of the room.
Fresh professional design - The brand-new design of the hexagonal aluminium front baffle brings a fresh look, as well as improved sound quality and durability. It cuts down unwanted vibrations for lower distortion while the tweeter protective guard reduces the risk of damage to the high-frequency diaphragm.
High-quality components - Every VM series speaker includes a Class D amplifier with 96 kHz sampling DSP to enable wide-bandwidth audio reproduction. Its highly efficient performance results in low distortion and high-energy sound.

This doesn’t come as a pair
Sound quality is next to none!! Just be aware unlike the smaller models this DOESN’T COME AS A PAIR. And I had no choice but to buy 2. A hole is burned in the pocket but the music room is sounding lovely.

Outstanding
Upgraded from the DM 40s to these VM 70s, wow the difference is night and day, build quality always good with pioneer and these are no exception, the adjustable eq on the back is perfect for setting up in any room and the club sound option is just that! Absolutely brilliant piece of kit and I can't recommend them high enough, they are not cheap and you have to buy them separately but worth every penny

Yes it’s compatible, I have two running from a mixer, though not straight from a turntable.
Hi Madge

Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Mo.
This Pioneer DJ VM-70 Speaker is mains operated. It does not have a battery.
Thanks for using Q&A.
I ordered two cables based on Jags answer and, consequently, have wasted nearly 30 pounds. A 3.5mm audio connector is not suitable for this speaker, as it does not have a 3.5mm aux input available.
This speaker has a single female RCA input and a single XLR TRS input. So, as I am connecting from a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4, I will need an RCA cable that has a single male connector for the speaker end and a Y connector for male left and right connectors at the DDJ-FLX4 end.
Hello David
The Pioneer DJ VM-70 Speaker is compatible with a 3.5mm AUX cable.
I hope this helps

Hello Mart,
I can advise the following for the Pioneer DJ VM-70 Speaker:
Yes, if the show has a 3.5mm jack connection. You will need a 3.5mm jack Y cable to either 1/4 Jack (for balanced) or RCA (unbalanced) connection to the speaker. Note the price is for a single speaker/monitor.
Thanks for using Q&A.
