About this product
The Gtech AirRAM Platinum runs for up to an hour on a full charge and recharges in under 3 hours. The battery is removable, so you can charge it in or out of the machine, and there's a 4-stage LED display showing exactly how much power you've got left. The anti-hair wrap brush-bar stops hair tangling around the roller, which is brilliant if you've got pets or anyone with long hair at home, and the Forward Inertia Drive means it practically pushes itself across carpets and hard floors without you having to shove it around.
The patented AirLOC feature keeps suction consistent over bumpy or uneven surfaces. The 0.8l bin compresses dust and hair as you clean, reducing emptying frequency. To empty, slide the ejector arm forward to push debris into the bin without touching mess. Weighing 3.3kg and running at 75 decibels, the motorised floor head drives bristles into carpet pile to lift dirt. It includes a spare dust filter and scented cartridges to keep things fresh. The handle folds down for compact storage, with no cables to coil. Works on carpets, deep pile, wool, hard floors, laminate and upholstery.

Dont think its Platinum compared to previous AirRam
So far dissapointed with this model after having three previous Gtech hoovers. Where the handle connects to base is to loose and wobbly and clip has after couple of uses come loose also and needing pushing back in after the hoover head swang around uncontrollably when carrying it. The upgrade to the added air freshener has a stange smell - not that pleasant. The cylinder is not as easy to remove to empty as previous ones - sticks once side when removing and some small debris left behind in hoover casing. The build quality look is not as neat looking for joint fit on the hoover base ? Will be contacting GTECH with these issues as it did not warrant price increase to be called Platinum over our previous AIR RAM models and so far concerned with my purchase.

Wow fabulous!! The suction is amazing. I love the easy empty dispenser, no mess! The spare filter is very useful as I can have one drying while I can continue to use AirRam and the scented cartridges add that special touch. You know everything is super clean and smells lush! Happy customer :)

I got this for my elderly parents and it is amazing so light and easy for them to use ,the suction is fantastic and picks up their doghair really easily .The runtime between charges is fantastic and the noise level is pratically nothing .They love it and do their whole flat daily and easily in no time at all .

The height of the base unit is just slightly under 200mm or 4 inches, so you would need at least this much clearance underneath the sofa.
