Customers Say
The exercise bike offers great value for money with a sturdy build and comfortable seat. However, many users found the assembly challenging and the seat height insufficient for taller individuals.

Only suitable for short people under 5'5"
The seat pole has only 5 positions. No info about leg length is given in the Argos spec, just max weight load. You must look deep inside the FAQ to find answers from Argos staff letting us know... "The supplier has advised.... It’ll be fine with an inside leg of between 55cm and 75cm" but it seems no-one from the makers, or from Argos has stopped to recognise that is absurdly short. 55cm leg is the size of an 8yo child, not an adult. 75cm is still only 29.5" which is LESS than the Standard Ladies trouser length in M&S - given as 31" for a woman of 5'6". The bike requires a long fiddly assembly, but the finished build quality is good. No instructions how to use the display for tracking performance. I have a longterm knee injury so was really hopeful this would help rehab, but I had to send it straight back as I am 5'8" so it was too small. Don't let Argos tell you it cannot be returned unless in original boxed state for resale, I perservered and they did accept my assertion it was misadvertised and not fit for purpose. Catalogue text has still not been amended to reflect the crucial leg dimension info. How wasteful to design and produce a nice exercise bike but then make the seat pole waaay too short. So Disappointing.

Good Bike!
A bike bought for light exercise, which works perfectly. Only very small downside is that the height of the seat doesn’t lift as much as I would need to, but it is still more than useable!

Hello W2,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Opti Magnetic Exercise Bike: ''The height of the round shell is key as customer has to lift their leg to cross this to ride the bike, shell height is circa 43cm.
Also distance of the pedal from lowest position to the ground is circa 16cm, in case customer has to lift their leg to step on the pedal first then to cross the shell and sit on the bike to start exercise.''
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Sue,
The supplier has advised the following for the Opti Magnetic Exercise Bike:
The saddle is 27.5cm long and 24cm wide.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Bevy.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Opti Magnetic Exercise Bike:
I am sorry, the information is incorrect on website, we will get this updated. This exercise bike is non-foldable.
Thank you for using Q & A.
This bike is only suitable for very short people. The inside leg length range given is 55cm to 75cm with 5 holes on the seat pole. That is 21.6in - 29.5in. No adult has legs as short as 21.6in, that is child size! MandS ladies trousers fit a standard inside leg of 31in, so that tells you no-one over 5ft6in can comfortably use this bike. I had to send it back.
Hello Caz,
The supplier has advised the following for the Opti Magnetic Exercise Bike:
The recommended inside leg range for this machine is 55cm to 75cm.
Thank you for using Q&A.
No... I am 5ft8 and the saddle is not even high enough for my long legs on the top setting. Really disappointing. Their range states up to inside leg 75cm which is only 29.5in. Ridiculous.
Hello Sukh,
The supplier has advised the following for the Opti Magnetic Exercise Bike:
It’s based on the user’s leg length, not their height. It’ll be fine with an inside leg of between 55cm and 75cm.
Thank you for using Q&A.
No. In my experience the bike seat does not extend high enough

I usually enjoy assembling equipment but this was a right faff and took me ages. Hardest issue was getting the tension cable connected. Instructions include a few confusing mistakes so beware, like saying there is one bolt when there are 2, or getting the order wrong.
