About this product
The Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog is a pet-focused cylinder vacuum that doesn't mess about. It has an 890W motor and uses Vortex Technology to pull in everything from chunky bits to fine dust. Its footprint is smaller than an open magazine, and the TrackDrive system with side wheels keeps it tracking smoothly behind you, so you're not wrestling it around furniture or yanking it back on track. At 5.8kg, it's not featherlight, but the low profile and height adjustment make it easy to steer. The 8m power cord gives plenty of reach and rewinds with a foot tap, handy when juggling attachments.
The TurboBrush is the star for pet owners, digging embedded hair from carpets and upholstery without tangling. The HEPA filter traps pet dander and allergens, ideal for sensitive users. The 1 litre dustbin empties easily, with a full indicator. The adjustable floorhead switches between hard floors, laminate and carpet. Included are crevice, upholstery, dusting and combination floor nozzles. The hose stretches up to 2.1m with telescopic tubes, so you're not stooping. It runs at 72 decibels, quieter than most cylinders, and works on carpets, hard floors, laminate, upholstery and stairs.

Nice hoover
Bought this a few months ago and it is better than the Dyson wand it replaces, being quieter with better suction. It's nice and light for a cylinder vacuum cleaner, so easy to move around. Comes with a good range of attachments. The bin is easy to empty and filters easy to get to and clean / replace.

Poor quality, lasting less than 6 months.
This was purchased just a few months ago to pick up our dog hair on the carpets, it lost suction within the first month and has completely died now. We have now purchased a Dyson which is doing what the Miele should have done.

Purchased to renew my old vacuum & after reading previous reviews decided to go with another reliable product. Everything about this vacuum is spot on, Suction, Mobility & not at all noisy, excellent replacement for my old appliance.

Miele quality and performance
This is a great little vacuum for those who don't have room to store an upright but want the power of a brush roller. It replaced my old Miele after many years service and they have only got better. Also being corded means no waiting for a battery to charge. The good points: Bagless with a great filtration system - very easy to empty. The suction power is amazing - I thought my carpets were clean before but this gets everything. Easy to manoeuvre Long cord Lightweight Easy to dismantle for storage Variable suction for rugs/hard floor etc Variable handle length - great for shorties and those over 6ft The bad points: The onboard tools are stored on top of the handle - impossible to hold handle and vacuum so I keep those in a drawer. They should be on the main body of the machine out of the way. Brush roller cannot be removed completely - we are a house with a lot of hair (human and cats) so cutting the hair involves taking scissors to the rollers to remove it. Would be easier if the roller could be removed completely from head.

Fantastic Vacum.
Bought this hoover as my old one was on its last legs. The main reason for my choice was that it has one of the most powerful motors of any domestic hoover on the market and believe me it certainly shows with the suction it can produce, especially on the highest setting. The large wheels make it east to pull along and with an extra long power cord your not having to unplug it as often. This model comes with a turbo brush which is excellent on the high setting.The dirt container is easy to empty and the filters are also easily replaceable. Ignore the answer from Argos. This is a bagless machine. The chamber comes out with the click of a handle and is easy to empty. No need for any bags.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog Pet Corded Vacuum Cleaner.
The CX1 Boost C&D works just as good as any of our vacuums on thick pile carpet and yes the power level is controllable on the vacuum and on the handle.

They have an attachment that holds all the tools which attaches to the handle of the hose.
Personally, I don't use this as it makes it too bulky to use.
It is a Brilliant Hoover and really easy to empty the waste.
