Fabulouse looking, easy to use and great espresso
I bought my new Barista Pro to replace my much loved and enjoyed first Barista Pro that I purchased 5 years ago. It makes a great espresso and once you find your perfect set up is so easy to use, I love it. I chose the brushed stainless steel for my second machine which looks fabulous - my first machine was black truffle. Just one small but with the new machine, it doesn't feel quite as sturdy and when producing the espresso it vibrates and this makes the cup move on the drip tray. Very small detail and not a big deal at all.

OMG this coffee machine is so so good! I've been on the hunt for a good one and this has exceeded my expectations! I had bean to cup other big brand but wasn't happy, but this Sage coffee brewing is so much better and milk! Omg, so creamy so nice, excellent 👌🏽

Thumbs up for Sage, thumbs down for DPD
Sage process was slick and efficient. Poor handling from DPD though, the DPD driver knocked on my door and a few minutes later, started moaning at me as the process of packing my machine safely in to the box took more than 3 minutes…..he then moaned stating I made him late for his next delivery. Sage - I’d advise liaising with DPD that it takes more than 3 minutes to package, seal and send a machine off, as well as signing for it.

So happy with my purchase!
Having watched / read a number of reviews for machines, I settled on this one. I couldn’t be more pleased with it! Have adjusted the grind size and using freshly roasted beans I am pulling the perfect espresso shot, rich with a lovely crema on top. Then using the steam wand to froth some barista oat milk until it’s velvety, and using it to create a coffee shop quality oat milk latte. It’s not a cheap machine, but have been using a delonghi for a couple of years and a nespresso before that, and the coffee from the Sage is just on another level completely. Should say the main differences between the barista pro, and the express (the next model down I believe), is that the heating system is totally different meaning it heats in around 4 seconds instead of 20-30 seconds. I choose not to store beans in the hopper (have read the beans lose flavour, and if you’re only making a couple of cups a day, after a while the beans oxidise and coffee won’t be as good). Instead I weigh out 18g of beans and pour into the hopper and grind them into the portafilter for the perfect dose for a double shot. Machine is easy to clean and looks great on the counter. This may not be quite as automatic as some machines as there are a few steps to creating the perfect coffee, but I love the ritual in the morning, and undoubtedly the coffee is better as a result.
