Improved our carpets no end!
Carpet 8 years old and this was the first wash. Yuk! I know. Used my trusty 20 year old Vax, once I'd found the bits in the garage. Bought the Vax pet carpet shampoo as we'd been fostering a guide dog. Did a pre spray with solution diluted as per instructions, then two cleans with the machine. Carpets now bright as new. They did take a while to dry and there was a musty smell after but that was probably because of first time washing after so long, and the old inefficient Vax. Treatment with sodium bicarb then vacuuming the dry powder got rid of the smell.
