The kettle is very loud and you can't see how much water is in it, especially when it's in an unlit place.If I could give it back, I would.When you pour water into a glass, you have to be careful because you might spill it because the stream goes too far

Excellent Kettle
I bought this kettle to replace another one from Argos which had a horrible taste of metal. I have seen some negative reviews about the lid not opening, these people are wrong. You press the button on the lid and then lift it back to gain full entry into the kettle, that said the kettle is noisy, not a problem for me. The kettle pours nicely without drips and feels good in the hand. There is a clear window for viewing the water level and as yet, I have not had a problem with limescale, i do live in a hard water area. Follow the instructions on cleaning the kettle when you receive it and you'll find there's no metallic taste lick some steel kettles.

I love the style of the kettle and the fact that you can see how much water to put in for one or 2 cups. It boils very quickly and is very energy efficient. My only complaint is the lid does not go back very far when you open it to put water in. I find it very annoying and my husband especially struggles with this. I did read this ain another review before I bought it and thought it can’t be that bad but it is. I bought the matching toaster too, which is great and they both look really good in my kitchen.

Good quality kettle
Kettle seems well made, has a kind of brushed and polished metal look about the main body, the fill level indicator is easy to see. The kettle doesn’t have any options to heat to lower temperatures than boiling but that’s not really a problem. Hopefully lasts longer than the AEG one we had for 2.5 years and cost twice as much.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Bosch TWK5P475GB Designline Ergo Kettle - Anthracite: The Bosch Designline Ergo does not have double wall insulation so it will get hotter than the Styline kettle you currently have. The handle of the Designline Ergo will of course be cool to the touch – but it is recommended you avoid direct contact with the body of the kettle.
