About this product
The Tower VL20 Performance is a lightweight corded vacuum that gives you powerful cyclonic suction to tackle dust and dirt across carpets and hard floors. Weighing just over a kilo, you can carry it around the house without any fuss. The motorised floor head works well on both carpets and hard surfaces, and it converts into a handheld for sofas and stairs, or you can extend the telescopic pole to reach higher spots.
The long power cord means you're not constantly switching sockets, and the dustbin gives you decent capacity before you need to empty it. The HEPA filter traps small particles and pet dander, which is brilliant if anyone in the house has allergies. It comes with a crevice nozzle and upholstery nozzle for awkward gaps and furniture. It's quieter than most vacuums, and the whole thing is bagless, so there's no messing about with replacements.

TOWER VL20 VACUUM CLEANER
Great little vacuum cleaner and good value for money. Extremely good suction and made a great job of vacuuming my carpets. Easy to use and empty the dust bucket - and it's not too heavy. Changing the tools is also extremely easy and straight forward. The vavuum is a lovely turquoise blue colour 🩵. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great hoover
Genuinely a really good hoover for the price. Only really great for small places though as the bin is quite small and the cable isn’t too long but the suction and the power on it is great

RUBBISH DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Not worth the one star rating! This vacuum cleaner worked for 2 days and then it over heated and the suction stopped working. I want a refund and have to carry back to Argos/Sainsburys. RUBBISH DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The prefect fit for me
I really like my new little hoover, it is the perfect size for our mini-flat. It swaps my old hand held one and the heavy stand up one which is half broken, so I was really desperate for a new replacment. The 2 in 1 option was my utmost requirement, but this is truely 3 in 1, so does everything I wanted and even more. Now I can reach everywhere, even the places I could not get to before. It's even small enough, to stick it behind the sofa so it is out of sight - hubby didn't want to drill holder on for wall...we have hard flooring and it works perfectly on that. It doesn't have such high suction as my old big one, but that is actually a plus for me, as I can finally hoover the door mat without accidentally sucking in the corners LOL.

Overheats and Spinner brush stopped spinning
It started overheating shortly after purchasing. Then after about a month the spinning brush stopped spinning. Now it barely suctions. On top of that hair gets brought up into the upper chamber and you can't pull it out easily and sometimes at all if it wraps around the central column.

Hi Nicky,
The issue you're experiencing with your Tower VL20 Performance Corded Vacuum Cleaner overheating and cutting out after a few minutes is likely due to restricted airflow, which causes the motor to overheat. Here are the most common causes and solutions: Clean the dust container after every use.
Wash or replace filters monthly (or as recommended) Check for blockages weekly if used frequently.
The vacuum has a built-in thermal cut-out that activates when the motor overheats.
This is a safety feature. Once triggered, it requires about an hour to reset. Prevent it by ensuring good airflow and regular maintenance.
