My previous Tefal died after 19 years so I was forced to get a new iron! I’m glad I got this. It is light and agile and I could place the base on the floor. Although this is great, my original was superior

Great replacement
An improvement on a great previous iron, which probided seven years of heavy duty service. If this Tefal lasts as long and continues to behave and perform in the first two weeks for equally as long I will be delighted.

Irons well but the gimmicks aren’t worth it.
This was to replace my previous model. The old one had a retractable plug which was great where as this one just has a fiddly bit of Velcro and no where to put it so it’s a nuisance moving it when hot so the wire doesn’t touch. The light is ok but I can’t really say it’s worth any extra cost. The smart fiction with automatic steam for me is too slow. I have a large family and lots of ironing and while it shuts off the steam immediately on putting it upright, when you go to use it , it takes several seconds for the steam to start so I just end up putting it in manual mode and holding the steam button. My biggest issue with this iron is the top button and I’m constantly changing modes as the lightest touch changes the setting. Hopefully I will get used to it. All in all the iron itself works as well as the previous model and here in the south the removable anti calc piece is essential.

Fantastic iron
This is ‘almost’ the same as my 15 year old one which is still going! It has to be the best iron ever. I’m so pleased with it. Makes ironing a pleasure - if that’s possible!!!

Bad purchase
I’ve had this over a year now, it’s been back to be repaired for the amount of water it leaks. And that happened straight after purchase. Once repaired it Worked fine for a few months and it’s been leaking ever since. It has a years guarantee and I gave up after the first time of constantly chasing them up.
