The Silentnight Anti-Allergy Mattress Protector - Double is not waterproof.
Thank you for using Argos Q + A.
This product is 137cm wide and the UK standard small double mattress is 122cm wide. As it is held in place by straps you may experience some slipping if using this with a small double mattress.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A
This cover was described as having straps then if had a skirt,
What is it straps or skirt and what depth do the straps fit? My mattress is 30cm
This mattress protector is secured with elastic straps.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A.
The product can be washed on a 60 wash.
The top of this mattress protector is fine - does the job. However, the sides or 'skirt' part is flimsy 'paper' type material and when I stretched it to fit on the mattress my fingers went through it! Fortunately for me it was free with a purchase, but I certainly wouldn't recommend paying for it as it's just rubbish! I'll keep it on the bed for now, but it'll be going in the bin on the next wash day.
The skirt of this protector is DEFINITELY NOT made of stretchy, elasticated, material. The only thing elasticated about this protector is the thin elastic band at the bottom of the skirt. There is no give whatsoever in the skirt of this protector. I bought two last months and they washed and tumbled dried without any problems. However, when I put the first one on the mattress and tried to pull it down over the edge of the mattress my fingers went straight through the material leaving it looking like a piece of rag. I don’t know if Silent Night has changed the material specification for this protector recently but the skirt is now as thin as strong kitchen towels. I took them both back to the local Argos store and when I showed the assistant the area of damage caused when trying to fit it on to the mattress my fingers went straight through the material in front of her and she was very shocked about the quality of this product and refunded my money in full. I cannot understand why Silent Night would make, let alone sell, a product so poorly made as this. Even more shocking to note is that Argos buyers didn’t appear check the specification and material before offering it for sale to the public. This is the worst review I have even given for any product I have purchased. Be warned.
The skirt/sides of the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Mattress Protector feels like soft elasticated fabric. It isn't papery.
I hope this helps!
It is material sort of like a very light stretchy cotton with elastic running all the way around the edge.

I would say yes. If it doesn't suit im sure it can be returned.
Hi, thank you for your question.
Having looked into your query, I can confirm as this is an anti-allergy product, it is designed for this purpose and has therefore, not been tested to how many washes this will remain protected for.
