About this product
The Russell Hobbs Steam Genie Essential works magic on creases. Ideal for when you want to eliminate wrinkles from bedding on the bed or you want to freshen up clothes on a hanger. A removable lint brush helps you to tackle stubborn pet hairs and fluff, and its compact size means you can take it on your travels for crease-free clothes wherever you go.

Good
So this really good but only upright. I got this to iron my bedding whilst on the bed, but it leaks water when used horizontal. Great for hung curtains and things on hangers

Excellent steamer – fast and powerful!
I absolutely love this garment steamer! It heats up in seconds and removes wrinkles effortlessly. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for quick refreshes before work. The steam power is strong and consistent, and the design feels premium. I’ve stopped using my iron completely — this is so much faster and more convenient. Highly recommend to anyone who wants perfectly smooth clothes in no time!

Good Product
Such a handy little gadget, really takes the ease out of ironing if you just have a few garments, still early days but think it is going to be a great purchase decision.

Great travel steamer
I bought this for my daughter so this is what she has told me. She needed this for a dress to a wedding as the material creased easily. She said it steamed the creases out very easily and used on her partners suit as well. I have a dropped a star because of the size. Would have been great if it was a bit smaller to go into suitcase.

Hello Lilo,
The supplier has advised the following for the Russell Hobbs Steam Genie Essential 25591 Garment Steamer:
“ The Steam Genie Essentials 25591 can be used for freshening up the hard-to-wash items like rugs, curtains and pet beds but will not clean it. It will kill the bacteria but not clean stains. Additionally, please carefully read the User Manual and the Label on the mattress or such item before using the Steamer for such purpose.
If the mattress has the "do not steam" icon on it, the item should not be used on that fabric. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Gaz,
The Russell Hobbs Steam Genie Essential 25591 Garment Steamer can be quicker than ironing. Here are some key points:
Heat-up Time: The steamer heats up in just 45 seconds, whereas an iron typically takes a few minutes to reach the desired temperature.
Ease of Use: With no need for an ironing board, you can start steaming clothes directly on the hanger, which can save setup time.
Efficiency: For quick de-wrinkling, the steamer can be faster, especially for items like shirts, blouses, and dresses. It provides up to 10 minutes of continuous steam.
I hope this helps.

I would say it would make a difference but probably not 100% crease free :) It seems to work best with light, natural fabrics such as linens and cottons.
