Yes, there are problems with this item after washing and yes, I did follow the laundry instructions. The crinkles are kept in place by a 2nd layer of fabric which seems to be lightly glued to the reverse of the crinkled material. My issue is that, after washing the glue is disintegrating, so Im losing the crinkles and the resulting glue bits are like sand which get onto the bed and have to be regularly hoovered up. I was initially happy, but I would now not recommend this bedding
The crinkles definitely come out. Ive had mine for 1 day and this morning the pillow cases are ruined , they should really consider selling replacement pillow cases because the bedding is actually lovely.
Horrendous after washing- going to see if we can send ours back.
The staff are clearly told to sell products and not do any research such read the reviews! There are 3 negative reviews related to washing

I can only find one negative review with regard to the crinkles disappearing after washing and many more positive reviews that the Crinkle White Bedding Set - Single washes well. It may be that the washing instructions were not followed correctly possibly causing the problem experienced.
