Missing part
The actual chest of drawers is of a good quality but its supposed to be 4 drawers. only received 3 fronts. these were for the smaller drawers. the large one was missing. how could that be missed. phoned the number on instructions and i am told it has been ordered for me but could take up to 4 weeks. not arrived yet!!!

Terrible item
Only writing this to possibly save someone else the problems, loss of money and hassle. First, item is not well made at all. For something this price you would expect better. I really needed something so proceeded to put together. Instructions could honestly have been better and clearer but rated fair. Argos protocol system is absolutely awful so much so I will never be buying anything from Argos again. Life was very fast and I missed the window of complaints/returns however because a piece of the drawers literally snapped in half like a biscuit once I had put some clothes inside, I tried to speak with someone to see if there was anything at all that could be done. Me as the customer was told I had to go away and find an appraisal company to look at the item. Write some sort of certificate to prove the item was faulty or broken and then email it to Argos and only then maybe there was something they could do. I've never heard of a customer having to do such a thing before. Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time and money. Big shame but bad things happen sometimes I guess

The handles centres are 544mm apart.

The 40cm depth is not including the handles as this is the depth of the top panel. You will need to add a few extra CMs to incorporate the handle depth.

The distance from the floor to the bottom of the drawer front is 20mm. Within the Atlas range there is a chest designed specifically to fit inside the wardrobe, may be worth considering? link below.

Hello Rachael, yes this chest of drawers will fit in the 2 Door or the 3 Door Wardrobe. but obviously this will compromise hanging space. I hope this answers your question sufficiently.

When fully open, there is a gap of 270mm from the inner face of the drawer front to the front edge of the carcase end panels.
