About this product
The Vax SpotWash Home Pet-Design is built for spills, stains and pet messes that need sorting out quickly. It's portable at 4.5kg and works across carpets, hard floors, stairs and upholstery, so you're not stuck tackling one type of surface. The 1.1l clean water tank and 0.72l dirty water tank give you enough capacity for a few jobs before you need to refill or empty, and the 1.25m cord and 1.25m hose give you a decent reach without dragging the unit around too much.
The SpinScrub hand tool has automatic rotating bristles that work cleaning solution into carpet and upholstery without scrubbing, with a rotating brush bar for edge-to-edge cleaning. It includes an Extra Wide 2-in-1 Wash Tool with attachments for carpets, upholstery and hard floors, plus a Messy Clean Up Tool with carpet and crevice attachments. It comes with 250ml each of Vax SpotWash Antibacterial Solution and Pet Stain and Odour Remover. The adjustable floorhead switches between surfaces, and a carry handle makes moving it easy. The dirty water tank extracts mess instead of pushing it around.

Works, but can't be maintained
The spot wash works wonders, really happy and impressed with how it removes the dirt etc. I have had mine around 2 years now, but my biggest gripe is trying to clean it after using. Unfortunately the plastic is two pieces glued/welded together and unfortunately water seeps into these crevaces and builds mould. I have tried all the usual, soak in bleach, stain remover, vinegar etc, no way to get to it to clean. So I've tried soaking all of it and water gets trapped insode the lid, again which you can't get out unless you unscrew it apart every time. This is also the same on the clean water tank. So whilst they advertise as anti-microbial, it grows it's own and there's nothing you can do about it. Except replace. Nice design guys. Nice. 🙄

The hose is the problem.
I have had my Spotwash Pet for a few years and it has worked perfectly but now the hose has become hard and has split at both ends. It is currently held together with Duct tape. I had hoped that Vax would have supplied replacement hoses to fix this problem but they have not. I am surprised the new models are the same design and will ultimately suffer the same fate. They need to be redesigned to have a replaceable and more flexible hose and so I reluctantly will not be buying another one.

The supplier has advised for the Vax SpotWash Home Pet-Design Spot Carpet Cleaner: Our Spotwash range are not intended for use as a vacuum. We recommend that the area that is being cleaned is vacuumed thoroughly prior to use.
If the area is not vacuumed, then this may cause blockages within the tools and filters.

It does come with a spot clean spray and a small bottle of solution. This is despite for fabric clean only i.e carpets, rugs, sofas
