Absolutely amazing piece of equipment and a real hit with the kids too. Lovely tasting ice cream, and many other different types. Comes with a manual and recipe book too. I can’t wait to buy the slushie maker next. Which I thought I’d bought lol.

Two have broken
I have had a ninja creami for about 5 years now. I’ve had two! Why? Because despite me taking care of the machine, it breaks. And is not covered by warranty. The first broke just after the two year warranty was over. The second I bought second hand and has now broken as well. Does it make delicious ice cream? Yes! I love it! Does the blade get stuck in the ice cream and then the whole house smells of smoke? Yep.

Not useful for a healthy lifestyle.
Doesn't really work, no matter what we try, it just produces powder. Then when we respin, it melts. If you're happy to add unhealthy processed ingredients like protein powders and creams then it'll work fine.

Wouldn't replace
Not impressed under longer term usage. Had machine for over 6 months now, very noisy and almost impossible to keep clean with loads of tight spots that require silly little brushes to clean properly. Recently started dropping blade halfway through operation. All tubs show signs of scratching, not sure what happens to the micro plastics - guessing they are in the ice cream

Absolutely worth it!
Really worth it! After seeing many videos online recommending it we invested in one and it has been an amazing experience! It’s super easy to use, clean, and the ice cream and sorbet recipes we have tried have been amazing! We’ve been having some sort of ice cream or sorbet every night now, and we really look forward to trying the new recipes. Really really happy, it’s definitely worth it.

Fantastic product once you get the hang of it
Overall I’m really impressed with the Ninja Creami. It comes with pretty much everything you need to get started, although I’ve already ended up ordering a few extra tubs because I can see we’ll use it a lot. The build quality feels exactly what you’d expect from Ninja — solid and well made. It’s definitely taken a bit of trial and error to get the hang of it, and our first few attempts weren’t great, but we’ve started making some really good ones now and I’m sure that’ll improve as we get more used to it. The recipe book is useful, although I’ve mainly been trying to make healthier alternatives which I think is partly why some early attempts didn’t turn out quite right. Overall I’d definitely recommend it — just expect a bit of experimenting at the start.

It's a gimmick, & takes up valuable counter space
I got caught up in the social media hype for this product, but was swayed from purchase by the price. Then I received it as a gift (from a family member). Then discovered the prep work which goes into making the ice cream or sorbet. The only recipe I was impressed with was the pineapple sorbet, which amazingly did taste like a decadent pineapple ice cream (it's just a can of pineapple & the juice, frozen and churned). The unfrozen strawberry ice cream mix is tasty enough to eat on it's own, but once frozen and churned it leaves a nasty greasy film on the roof of your mouth. Turning to the equipment itself, in the time I've had the machine I've admittedly used it less than I ever imagined because of the faff of preparing the mixture and freezing it in advance. After the first couple of times of using it, I found that the ice cream pot is getting stuck to the churning blade. I'm therefore not sure about the longevity of the unit itself.

Hi Beatrice, this Creami doesn't have a Slush setting and we wouldn't advise processing blocks of frozen ice without the proper setting. This function is available with the Ninja Creami Deluxe.
Yes, the recipes are customizable!
A home blender is not able to blend and whip the frozen block into a creamy, smooth dessert. In all probability the blades woud break and-or the motor if attempted.
However, the Creami is built for this exact purpose.
