Glorified blender - not an ice cream maker
This is not an ice cream maker, it's a blender, you need to freeze the ingredients for 24 hours before putting them in the machine, the ice cream is made in your freezer, the machine just blends it, you can do that in any blender or even a couple of forks and some elbow grease. Utter waste of time and money

Amazing - healthier ice cream! Love it so much !!!
I've been using the ninja for the last week to eat ice cream every night with a high protein recipe and then adding mix-ins. I'm able to eat a whole pint for 350 calories as dessert and I'm absolutely loving it. 10/10!! I do think sometimes the ninja works super hard and I'm afraid it'll break but so far so good.

Hi Beatrice, this Creami doesn't have a Slush setting and we wouldn't advise processing blocks of frozen ice without the proper setting. This function is available with the Ninja Creami Deluxe.
Yes, the recipes are customizable!
A home blender is not able to blend and whip the frozen block into a creamy, smooth dessert. In all probability the blades woud break and-or the motor if attempted.
However, the Creami is built for this exact purpose.
