This is very dark navy, as other reviews have stated, but has lightened up after a few washes. But even before, when compared to black school tights etc you can see it’s not black. It’s very pretty and my daughter loves it. Her favourite school cardigan
Night as a school cardigan for my daughter - very nice pattern to bottom of front and sleeves making it stand out.
Colour could be a bit lighter in navy blue as almost black.
Main issue: comes up very large so go a size smaller for an average hight and weight girl.
