I bought this to use with a lawn mower. Followed the instructions and the indicator didn’t reset/ disappear to indicate it was safe to use. Product was a good price on offer. However it did feel a bit cheaply made and ultimately it was not fit for my use so returned it for a refund.

An RCD will protect against shorting to Earth, or rather an imbalance in Live and Neutral power draw, but this may not be the fault profile which e-bike batteries take so we cannot guarantee it will be of any additional use in this way (although it won't be any worse so is probably still worth trying).

The allowable tripping times for an RCD Adaptor or Plug are far shorter than for a Circuit Protection RCD in a consumer unit, 40mS compared to 300mS, so for smaller level faults this should easily trip first (but the trip times converge for larger imbalances so it isn't 100% guaranteed to always trip first).

That will depend on the power draw of your fridge (which if it is fairly modern may be anywhere between a few hundred watts to a couple of kilowatts), the adaptor is capable of feeding 13A (3,120W / 3.12kW) but it is best not to fully load a device constantly.

"The device is Active (Non-Latching) Type - when power is cut to the device, the RCD will trip and have to be reset."
