good but no cigar
The unit is good and has a decent cable length. The 'stand' it comes with is next to useless because it is so flimsy. I guess in the upright position you could screw it down into a desk, but then you would damage the desk. Lengthways on you can divide the 'stand' into two bits but then you have one half which will accomodate the end of the unit nicely. However at the other end, if you have plugs in place, there is not enough room for the other half of the 'stand', so you have to wedge it inbetween plugs. This make the unit very unstable and likely to fall over if knocked even lightly. For that reason it a 3 from me and 1 for the design. The only reason I have kept the units is the length of the cable and I do not have another half day to spend looking for an alternative on the internet. I do expect better from masterplug, the design is very poor indeed.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Masterplug 10 Socket 4m Surge Protected Extension Lead: In response to your question, yes you can use this with a 250V washing machine.
-Issues may arise when multiple devices are connected and used at the same time, running the risk the combined consumption overloading the extension lead's
cable and plug fuse (13A, 3,120 W / 3.12 kW)
-Please also take care that the extension lead is protected and stored correctly, reducing the chance of vibrations/movement from the washing machine
causing mechanical damage.
