The batteries charge fast but gets hot while charging so a bit concerning and last only few days in meta quest 3 controllers.

Need to replace my old slow charger and looked at all Argos options. This 1 Hour Energizer stood out due to charging time and ability to charge less than 4 batteries at a time. I was slightly sceptical that this was possible but sure enough you can charge One, Two, Three or Four batteries as you require - really handy with single battery clocks, mice etc as I don't have to wait to get a group together before charging. The LED indicator of charge state actually does work and ONE HOUR is maximum time needed for any I have put in. Getting 4 batteries with the unit was icing on the cake. Top quality and a real money and time saver

Quick charging
Bought a replacement for my previous 1 hour charger. I also need to sometimes charge an odd number.ber of batteries which this will do. My only concern is that the batteries supplied get very hot when charging and make odd noises. My original batteries, which are vented, stay cool and don't make bubbling noises. I'm not sure how long batteries will last charged at heat.

Does charge batteries quickly, but you need to keep an eye on it as it overheats. You would have thought for the price they could have incorporated an automatic cutoff.

From the information we have available, I can advise the Energizer 1 Hour Battery Charger typically comes with 4 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries. These batteries are often referred to as LR6, which is the standard designation for AA batteries. This charger can recharge 2 or 4 AA or AAA NiMH batteries in about an hour.

No, this is not designed to recharge lithium batteries.
It is Compatible with all AAA or AA NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeable batteries, Energizer Recharge batteries are recommended.

I can advise the following on the Energizer 1 Hour Battery Charger with 4 x AA Batteries:
It's advised to only used the battery type that is provided with the charge for health and safety reasons, however the charger will charge other brand, same type, batteries.
Providing the batteries are the same type and size as the ones required for the Solar lights then you will be able to use them.
