I am always happy to purchase new decks and this is a nice addition to my collection. This item is also great for newcomers.

The product itself appears to be new/sealed and in good condition. However there are no security seals proving the product hasn't been opened, „mined“, re-sealed and returned, which is a known problem with Pokémon products. It should be noted this product is a built starter deck with predetermined (Non-random) contents that are listed on the side of the box. A customer wishing to see which product/cards they will get can request a „customer viewing“ of the product in-store and consult the information on the box prior to proceeding with their purchase. Customers purchasing for their children may wish to have the child present so that the child will be able to determine if the starter deck and its contents meet their needs, especially if the child is collecting or has a preference for specific elemental classes of Pokémon. It should also be noted this is a generic product entry covering several different varieties and generations of Pokémon starter deck, and contents/series WILL vary. For reference; The starter deck I received (Aug 2025) and review here was the 2023-vintage „Greninja“ (Water element) starter deck, and product photos on the Argos website/in-store devices cover several generations and variants of this starter deck. Such photos should not be relied upon as an indicator of the product one will actually receive, and for this reason viewing/purchasing in-store would have to be recommended where possible. This product is both CE and UKCA marked; Though I have not opened/used the one reviewed here, product unboxing videos consulted after purchase confirm that the product/packaging is almost entirely of cardboard, and so can reasonably be assumed to fully conform to the „UK Combustibility Assured“ standard. However I would recommend that recycling via ones local kerbside recycling scheme would be a more appropriate way of disposing of the product after use, or - Better still - Gifting the product to somebody else developing an interest in Pokémon so that they can get started *without* running into the scalping and gatekeeping practices that presently plague the Pokémon TCG community, and which authorities persistently refuse to take positive action to address. This starter deck was sold to me in store for GBP 15,- and I subsequently learned that the MRSP for this product was GBP 9,- (See attached image) and so Argos had overcharged me by at least GBP 5,- above reasonable price. This has meant I have not used the product and want to return it. However my attempts to return (Which are very difficult owing to disabilities I have, some of which extend from historical CA under the C-of-E, and persistent refusal of Reasonable Adjustment for my circumstances I experience because my being LGBT/rejecting wrongful claims of „ownership“ laid on myself by the C-of-E mean I have no human rights in the UK at all) were rejected by staff in my local store on the grounds „The tills have been turned off [Ahead of closing time]“ whilst a heterosexual customer in-store at the same time had his needs/business accommodated to his satisfaction. Because I have decided to return the product I have not opened or used it, but because Argos have unlawfully exploited the effects of disability/historical CA to prevent attempted return I am now lumbered with a GBP 15,- lump of Argos-scalped UKCA-conformant cardboard. Because this service does not provide a separate field for customer sales experience like it should, I have no choice but to put both in the same field for the reference and attention of other customers. Accordingly - For the scalping of the price and exploitation of my protected characteristics to prevent my lawful return - My actual rating for this product is zero. However I am forced to give a „Good“ rating to prevent my review being filtered-out by inappropriate „Good vibes only“ review presentation settings known to be employed by many companies/brands, despite customer right of voice standing superior to that of any company under internationally-agreed human rights laws pertaining to freedom of speech. Finally: This review is a factual statement of the product and sales experience connected to it, is covered under my Standard Terms of Business under which Autonomous/AI-judgement or disposal is expressly prohibited, and has taken an hour to compose at a billable rate of EUR 45,-/hr or part. Failure to publish this review as submitted - Which has been evidenced by screen recording - Will stand as wrongful Disposal of Work done for disfavour against customer Protected Characteristics in defiance of the Equality Act 2010, and shall be accountable at the rate given herein plus any additional Charges the Customer is granted right in his Terms to lay down for any non-compliance with his superior right to freedom of speech, expression, and relay of the fact in spaces visible to other intending customers. Good quality item

I bought this around Christmas time, it's a good quality product however it doesn't allow for selection of the variable it just says product may vary instead of letting you select, so if your trying to collect all of them you may encounter duplicates or triples of one's you already have, other than that it's a good product and lots of fun
