About this product
Engine light's glowing and you'd rather know what's wrong before the garage gets involved. This wireless diagnostic reader from Streetwize plugs into your car's OBD II port and sends fault codes to your smartphone over WIFI. Works with free or paid apps on iOS, Android, Windows PC, and Mac, so you can use any device you have. It reads generic and manufacturer-specific codes, shows live engine data, and checks emission readiness. Covers all OBD II certified vehicles from 2001 onwards, including CAN systems. Download a reader app, connect via WIFI, and you're set.
The wireless connection means you can sit in the driver's seat and check codes on your phone without cables trailing everywhere. Compatible with most petrol and diesel cars made after 2001 with OBD II certification. Reads Diagnostic Trouble Codes and translates them through your chosen app. Shows live engine data so you can monitor what's happening in real time. Works with iOS and Android mobiles, tablets, Windows PCs and Macs. Not suitable for motorcycles, hybrids or electric vehicles.

Did not work on LDV 2007 Van
I bought this to review errors in my LDV 2007 van. I have an older OBD wired reader, but I didn't have it to had, I used that previously to read and clear errors. This seemed better as it connected to my phone and is wireless. I managed to connect it to my phone, downloaded the Car Scanner OBD2 free app, and I selected my van make and model. It connected to the device but the device would not read the van port. I tried multiple times, start the van, switching off etc. It refused to connect. I tried in my car, and it worked. Compatibility may be the issue. According to the box it should work with vehicles from 1996, but it didn't work for me.
