Bought this a few weeks ago and it looks amazing. Well packaged and no issues attaching the shade. If you are looking for a tall table lamp, then this is the one. A new bulb is required, but I already had one. Bulbs are also available from Argos.

I bought this about over 3 weeks ago after looking around for a large lamp. As soon as I opened the box it didn't disappoint. This lamp is large and classic it's a real gem of a lamp for me. As soon as my daughter saw it she said I want two definitely. It want disappoint, if you want a large lamp this is it.

Yes, the surface is rough textured like it is on the white base. The shade should sit correctly but, if it is not doing so, they advise to turn it round which should correct it.
