They're light bulbs
I needed two new light bulbs. Bought these as they seemed reasonably priced and were the lumen value I needed (60w equivalent). Shame you can't get the same luminosity in candle shape.

Having looked into the Argos Home 5.9W LED BC Light Bulb:
Its advised for 450 lumens, the equivalent of 40-60 watt incandescent bulbs, is the sweet spot for book reading. However, if you are looking for a light that will ensure you can read for long hours in any part of the room and without any stress on your eyes, a bulb of 800+ lumens is necessary. These bulbs are showing as 806 lumens, so should be ok to read by. If in doubt, please contact your optician, as they will be able to advise the best lighting for your eyes.

This would be hard to answer as this depends on the light fitting itself. It does state it has a warm, cosy glow so this will be down to the individual user.
