New Iron
Irons well, not too heavy to use & gets creases out with ease. As some other reviews suggest, it does need filling up quite often - but if you want steam you require water!

Unsure about whether to return it or not.
I am still trying to decide whether to return it. I plug it in and it doesn't warm up. Then the next time it does. I have checked the socket and it works for other appliances so not sure what is going on. Also it is very heavy. When it has warmed up it works well.

Does not function
Would give zero stars. This iron does not work. After a couple of attempts, it stopped working completely - plugged into power etc. but remains stone cold. I complained last Friday, it is now Wednesday and the only communication has been that if I contact them again - by any means - I will be returned to the back of the queue. I need an iron, now have to buy elsewhere and it certainly will not be a Morphy Richards model.

Excellent value iron
I have used MR irons for years - my last one had just given up so I didn't even look at any other brands. Great steam output, the longer cable is very good and I am pleased to see the water tank is much easier to view than the older models. Finally, I am hoping it is just as good and reliable as my last one.

Hello Lil16.
Morphy Richards 303140 Turbosteam Steam Iron:
The Morphy Richards 303140 Turbosteam Iron is designed to prevent leaking when used correctly, with anti-drip features to help stop water from dripping onto clothes.
However, like most steam irons, leaking can sometimes occur if the temperature is set too low for steam use or if the water tank is overfilled.
To avoid this, itβs recommended to use the iron at the correct heat setting for steam and not exceed the maximum water level.

Hi Annie, we would always recommend using deionised, demineralised, or distilled water. Thanks, Izabel
Hi, to reduce limescale damage we would always recommend using deionised, distilled or demineralised water. However, with softened water this is less of a risk. Thanks, Izabel
Hi, thank you for your question. This iron does have a built in self-clean system designed to keep the water valve, steam chamber and steam vents clear of lint and loose mineral deposits. I hope this helps. - Izabel
