Decent Strimmer
Good size strimmer, which has the handy auto feed feature to save manually adjusting during use. Comes with a battery so no cords in the way. Minor issues with battery attachment being a bit tricky to remove, but will hopefully easy with use.

Very happy with this strimmer, lightweight, easy to use & was able to strim everything that needed doing in my sizable garden. Had to undo the cord spool on initial use as the cord was stuck but once freed there were no problems, a very good purchase at a reasonable price.

Trimmer not Strummer.
Bought this a few days ago and very pleased using it apart from the plant guard, surley a better fixing and adjustment could be found , nearly broke my thumb trying to fix it on, then again trying to reposition it when in way.

Gets the job done!
Great trimmer that gets through tall grass and weeds with ease. Edging borders and clearing weeds from fencing (stone and wood) and gaps in paving is easy peasy. Had no problem putting it together. It's really easy. The battery life is reasonable. Charging from empty to full power to about 20 mins. It's wise to take breaks every few minutes if you have a big job (front and back garden). It's lightweight but delivers power like a heavyweight. The design is sound and retractable which helps. It's easy to lengthen the wire and this model included a spare cartridge. Overall a good buy at a good price.

To change the spool on the Spear & Jackson Cordless Grass Trimmer - 18V, follow these general steps.
Replacement spool (or line if you're rewinding manually)
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance to avoid accidental starts.
Flip the trimmer over to access the spool housing. You’ll see a cap held in place by two tabs on either side.
Press the tabs inward simultaneously and lift the cap off. This will expose the spool.
Gently pull the old spool out of the housing. If there’s any remaining line, remove it.
If using a pre-wound spool, insert it into the housing and feed the line through the eyelets.
If rewinding manually, wind the line in the direction of the arrows on the spool, then feed the ends through the eyelets.
Align the cap with the housing and press down until it clicks into place.
Reinsert the battery and briefly power on the trimmer to ensure the line feeds correctly.
