Fabulous little tank
I bought this for my granddaughter and we used it to make a snail hotel She loved filling it up with twigs, stones and autumn leaves She chose 4 snails to enjoy luxury 5 star accommodation 🐌

Not as good as expected
The tank itself is quite nice but was smaller than I expected from the given dimensions and the opening lid broke very quickly.

Ok for temporary tank. Very flimsy and weak
Bought as a temporary tank for some fry. The item is ok priced for what it is, but it is very flimsy and bits of the lid snapped straight away. Also a lot of other reviews comment about using this tank for goldfish etc... this tank is nowhere near big enough for goldfish...

Bought as a temporary home for developing fish.
This is a small tank but perfect for new developing fish. I am very pleased with my purchase, the only negative is that the clear lid in the top has two plastic 'bits' sticking out on each side that act as a hinge. They didn't even last the day before snapping off, however the lid still slides into place ok. A more sturdy fixing would be an improvement. Very good value for money.

Well designed tank
Bought this to house small snails. Once landscaped with compost and bits of dead branch they are doing well and easy to look after.

Useful for vet trips
Bought to take our Syrian hamster to the vet, perfect size! Bit pricy compared to the range as they have a bigger one for the same price but I didn’t realise until after.

Hi Rosie,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Rosewood 7.2L Plastic Fish Tank - Medium: If you can get one small enough to fit (both physically and in wattage). A traditional aquarium heater would need to be fitted in such a way that it was not in direct contact with the plastic tank (using a suitable holder, which are often suppled with the heaters). This may not be an issue with some of the more modern pad type heaters for smaller tanks.
The other option is to use a breeding trap within the main aquarium. Might be easier.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A
Hello Maise,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Rosewood 7.2L Plastic Fish Tank - Medium: You are able to keep adult stick insects in the tank securely. We recommend if a breeding pair are kept in the tank that you secure some very thin net or plastic mesh on the inside of the lid as baby stick insects would be able to escape with ease.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Not sure who argos spoke to but Female sticks dont need a male to live eggs! We temporarily housed sticks in one whilst cleaning out the bigger tank one female will lay 1000s of eggs and hatch even when no male is present!

None, a goldfish needs at least 60 litres minimum or they will get very stressed. A tank this small is not suitable for goldfish, not even temporarily as they will get sick due to stress and likely die very quickly
