Not too good if your dog is a ball popper
I bought this for my dog to play with in the garden. It lasted around 10 hours before she punctured it, which believe it or not speaks to the ball's robustness, as a similarly priced football never lasts more than a hour. As for it's intended use as a basketball, all I know of the sport comes through watching the Harlem Globetrotters cartoon as a kid in the late 60s and early 70s. It bounces well when overinflated

The ball performs as one would expect it ought to! Clearly: After it has been 'Inflated' by YOU! Make sure you have the Appropriate 'Needle Like' fitting & 'Car' Pump ; too! The 'Bounce' is controlled by the Pressure ; that YOU Pump Through!!

Adequate for purpose.
All good for my grandsons to play in our local parc. Just think Argos should offer a service of pumping the ball up as part of purchase. Disappointed that I then had to purchase a pump too.

The ball has a 29.5 inches circumference and is used in the NBA so its standard for ages 14 plus
