You need to read all the reviews before buying
If your use to a normal dog gate this isn't it. It doesn't stay open, closes itself so you have to prop open. You have to lift to open & close due to the spring loaded catch on the bottom of the gate. I never considered that because it is that tall it hits your door handle and you can't close the door. Quality and build seem fine and you can get around having to lift to open and close if you tape over the spring loaded catch on the bottom of the gate.
