I bought these lamps to keep ready for an emergency, and they are excellent. The light is really bright, they are easy to use ( important if you are plunged into darkness) and take AA batteries which I always have available.

Neither lamp worked
Neither lamp worked out of the box. The connection points for the batteries were out of place and had to be pushed into place for one of the lamps to work. The second lamp still does not function. I will be returning them. They are clearly not sturdy nor well made.
