It's got laser-cut dual action blades that make cleaner cuts through branches. You'll get up to 35 minutes runtime from the Li-Ion battery before swapping to the spare. The quick charger brings it back to full power in under two hours. This cordless trimmer cuts through branches up to 16mm diameter with ease. The rotating handle adjusts to your grip for better control around awkward angles.
The lightweight design means you won't feel the strain during longer trimming sessions. You'll work comfortably using the soft grip rear handle throughout the job. The blade tip protector guards against damage when you're working near walls or fences. It's got a quick-stop brake that halts the blades when you release the trigger. Excellent light weight hedge trimmer
This is my second trimmer. I had the first one nearly 10 years until I worked it to death. It’s light weight, so perfect for a woman. It’s cordless, so excellent to use all around the garden . It comes with 2 batteries so what’s not to love. Just everything about this product is excellent. I can’t praise it enough. To top it all off, it’s at a special price on Argos just now.

Hello Debbie. The Spear & Jackson 51cm Cordless Hedge Trimmer with Battery 18V does have indicators to show levels of charge and battery level indicators. Please the below link and turn to page 19 of the manual that advises:
Check battery capacity
Push the power indicator button (A), the remaining
percentage of battery capacity will show on screen.
FU means 100% fully charged

The Spear & Jackson 51cm Cordless Hedge Trimmer with Battery 18V, is suitable for medium size hedges. Depending on the thickness of the branches as the tooth gap is 16mm so would need to be this thickness or smaller.

If you have a workmate bench, put the sheath between the jaws and tighten up a bit until the trimmer pulls out.
I have found if you hold the end of the cover between your feet and pull trimmer up with a sharp motion, it comes out smoothly. Please ensure battery is NOT inserted when doing this.
Its impossible to just pull it off careful. I struggled to remove it. My friend managed to by putting two thumbs at the top of the sheath to push it off.

From the information we have available after taking a look at both user manuals for the Spear & Jackson Cordless Grass Trimmer & Brush Cutter and Spear & Jackson 51cm Cordless with Battery Hedge Trimmer do not have the same battery pack, so they are not interchangeable.
