Excellent iron truly recommend
I don't actually own this type of iron but during a recent trio I had the chance to try it, and what a revolution. The large resovior for water meant a large pile of ironing was done without refilling the actual iron. I find with conventional irons, sometimes the water leaks and wets the clothes, not with this. With this iron you just get continued steam and balanced heat. Great product

Takes a long time to heat back up

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for, my last Tefal steam iron was more expensive, it lasted about 15 years and I loved it. This one was cheaper and it shows. The cord that comes out the top of iron rubbed on my wrist, I’ve got used to it now and the steam isn’t as good but saying all that it’s still better than a standard iron.

Disappointed
My old Tefal express died on me after 15 plus years , so got this as a replacement, really disappointed nothing like my old iron it doesn't even have a lock in system yo keep iron in place when you need to move it. I returned it !

Eco mode is energy-saving, which cuts energy use without compromising fast steaming results.
No, it is normal to have noise and vibration when the steam is activated especially when suing the appliance for the first time

Which will save a fortune, ive just had to bin my perfectly working steam works iron as Ive used the same cartridge for years, theyve not been available for a long time... such a waste but it started to look awful
It doesnt which will save a fortune. Ive eventually had to replace my perfectly working steam works one as Ive had to use the same cartridge for years as they no longer exist. This is ideal
No, the SV6110 does not require a cartridge due to the built-in anti-scale technology
There is no scale collecter on this model but the anti calc button should do the same job
Remove the scale collector and rinse under the tap to empty the scale collector.
Hi Kanna
Tefal SV6110 Express Essential Steam Generator Iron
Limescale occurs during steam ironing due to water hardness. The anti scale filter is designed to reduce the build-up of limescale inside your iron.
Thanks for using Q&A.
If you click 3 x quickly it produces more for longer, if you press as needed it does as needed
No. The steam will cease every few seconds while the pump generates more. This is normal and exactly the same as any other iron or garment steamer.
Yes, the steam is continuous with the button held down. However, If you press and hold down the steam button for too long (for example when ironing large items such as sheets), this can cool down the soleplate and so it will not be hot enough to produce steam and you will see water instead.
Not on this model. It is very easy to fill with a small jug, and also easy to empty over the sink if you dont want to store with water in the tank.
Thank you for your question. The water is fixed and not detachable
The manufacturer response is INCORRECT. This model does not have the anti-scale device. Instead there is an antiscale mode - I would recommend wearing an oven glove during this process as it generates a ton of steam for about 2 minutes.
For long lasting steam performance, it is advised to empty the scale collector every now and then. The descaling process will also need to be performed, during which the iron will emit water and steam for 2 minutes.
Tefal advise to use tap water within the iron. If you live in a hardwater area, you should use a 50/50 mix of distilled water and untreated tap water.
