Expensive but effective
An expensive extra gadget to setup my colour scheme with Philips hue lights and sync box, but it does the job well. I don't use other Philips products so it's probably more cost effective if you do.

Better than bluetooth
I have been controlling Hue through bluetooth and its been fine but this is ten times better. just opens up straight away and was really easy to connect. although i found entering the serial number of the device / bulb was much quicker.

Easy set up
Easy to connect and set up, I didn’t encounter any issues controlling the lights, I did find that the lights on the bridge were very bright so I put some tape over them which was perfect. Would have been better if this was part of a package deal as dearer than others when purchased separately. I would still recommend this one though

Simple and wonderful unit.
A simple and easy unit which provides many options to create a smart home and taylor the experience to your needs. Very simple to install. Just download hue bridge app, plug in the small unit to a socket and plug in to your router. The instructions on the app will guide you, for me literal took less then two minutes to connect. After that you can scan for any smart devices that work on the ziggbe connection, and again very simple to connect. It's amazing to find out that you can adjust your bulbs colour, temperature and energy usage so easily, simple log on to app and slide the control bar to suit your needs. You can even use pre installed settings, and amazingly you could host a party and have your lights connected to your music so it flashes and changes colours to create a disco. My experience of just having lights to switch on and off has grown, and its wonderful that i can change my experiences in my home simple through this hue bridge.

Works seamlessly
It just works, which if you are familiar with smart home gadgets is high praise indeed. Never had an issue with connecting to my Hue bulbs and the response time is excellent. Even works with my Phillips Ambilight Tv for a really immersive experience.

Yes, when placed in an area that the outdoor sensor can reach the Zigbee connection, unless you have multiple bulbs/sensory in the property and one is close to where the outdoor one is.

I can confirm the following of the Philips Hue Smart Bridge:
At present the lenarvo lux led bulbs are showing any support with the Hue bridge however you will be able to use a 3rd party bridge that the hue bulbs will more than likely be able to connect to.

I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows.
The Philips Hue Smart Bridge With Bluetooth is not exactly Gen2, more like Gen 2.5 – it has all the functionality of Gen2, but adds Bluetooth compatibility.
