Easy to use and very effective
This is my first Overlocker and I'm not going to pretend that, after watching a few videos about threading, etc, I wasn't worried about using it. However, hands down the best sewing product I have ever bought, it has cut my project time to a fraction of what it was and has given my work a really professional look and edge. It's a little noisy, but I can live with it for the results. It's easy to use and I followed a tip I found online that helped with the threading, which made it a significantly less daunting task (tie your thread to the factory quality assurance threads, put the tension to zero and manual turn the wheel slowly until your threads have moved through the machines threading mechanism).

No instructions-help
I bought this a few weeks ago and I was very disappointed to find NO instruction manual with it and the link they gave was not working!! A very poor show for an expensive machine. That said I did eventually get a link to download the instructions, all 56 pages!!! I have used it but you definitely need lessons if you’re a complete beginner with an overlocker like myself. I hope my lessons will teach me great things.

I bought this for Xmas and I love it , it's heavy sturdy and it s got the perfect stitch and waste trap that just clips on and off , the only downside is that the manual you have to down load ,doesn't come with booklet which I would prefer

Our supplier has advised that the Singer HD0405SAR Heavy Duty Overlocker does not do button holes. They are for sewing and finishing seams and hems on garments only.
