Not Alexa compatible (at least at the moment)
Unfortunately had to return these bulbs as they don’t work with Alexa - I think that this is a recent problem with the Alexa system and lightbulbs as I’m having the same problems with my Tapo bulbs. So knocked off a star for not being compatible with intended purposes, but the bulbs themselves work perfectly when controlled through the native Wiz app.

Great bulb and works. Can automatically switch on and off from your phone and also Time it to come on during times not in the property. Changes colour and brightness levels. Has to be used with the Wiz app which actually works!

I bought this after it was recommended to me. The bulb works well, and is easy to set up and control through the app and Alexa. I have the bulb in an Ikea FADO lamp, which means the light distributes very evenly.

Great bulbs
I bought this close to a month ago and they have been great. Being able to turn them off just by using my phone is very useful. The only slight problem I had was setting up the bulbs but after making some changes to my internet everything has been running smooth.

The supplier has advised the following for the Philips WiZ E27 Colour Smart LED Wi-Fi Bulb - 2 Pack that WiZ bulbs operate using Wi-Fi and the WiZ app, and they are not designed to respond to infrared or radio frequency signals from other household remote controls. However, if you are experiencing bulbs changing colour or switching on/off when using unrelated remotes, this may indicate interference from a universal remote or another device operating on a similar frequency.
To resolve this, we recommend:
1. Ensuring the bulbs are only controlled via the WiZ app, WiZmote, or compatible smart home assistants (Google, Alexa, Siri Shortcuts).
2. Checking if any universal remotes in use have been programmed to send signals that overlap with the WiZmote frequency.
3. Resetting the bulbs (toggle the power switch 5 times until the bulb pulses) and re‑adding them to the WiZ app to clear any unintended pairing.
If the issue persists, we suggest the customer contact WiZ Customer Support directly with details of the remote controls in use so we can investigate further.

I have checked the Philips Wiz E27 Colour Smart LED Wi-Fi Bulb, would be suitable. The wattage of the bulb is 8 watts. It is a smart bulb it also changes colour so it would depend on what you require.
