Add one of our super comfy coil-sprung mattresses to this cabin bedframe. You'll find them in our Malibu collection. Safety tested to 100kg they are good for bouncing. Great stuff.

A nice bed, simple to construct and seems sturdy
We bought this for our teenage daughter. It is a nice unit, was fairly simple and easy to put together and seems sturdy. The drawers are useful and seem pretty solid, but would be more useful if they were full-depth - there is a lot of wasted space behind the drawers.

Excellent Quality, a little awkward to assemble.
This product could be significantly improved by including some support shims for the back supports for the mattress shelf. Without anything to prop underneath, any movement risked snapping them until both ends were attached. Apart from that the assembly instructions were good, but not quite upto ikea standards, and the construction is strong and has not seemingly worn in 3 moths of use.

Great solid bed!
I bought this bed for my youngest grandson. He absolutely loves it! It's a sturdy bed, not at all flimsy, so I can see it lasting many years. The storage is also very useful. 4 very decent sized drawers (also solid) and shelving for display or books & games. Extremely happy with my purchase. Side note: the instructions do say you need two people (which is probably best) but I managed it on my own, which was great as i got it as a surprise for him. :)

Very sharp edges
This is not great for kids due to the sharp edges. My son has many cuts from this bed and we have had to buy rubber strips to try and make the bed safer.

Looks great when it's built!
I bought this last month and now it's built i am really happy with it. Part of the process for building it is a little confusing and without propping some of the features up, you can damage the supports. I built this in a room not much bigger than the bad itself which made it very difficult but had now other option. For the price though it's fantastic. Take your time on assembly and you'll do fine. Make sure to read the instructions twice as I got 80% there to find it had one piece the wrong way round and ultimately had to proceed with th3 holes facing outwards 😏

The supplier has advised the following for the Malibu Cabin Bed Frame - White and Acacia:
They advise that, for this height of bed, the distance of bed base from the floor, there are no safety requirements relating to mattress height/side rail height (as there are on the higher beds or bunk beds to prevent the occupant from rolling out of the bed).
They add this: “The side rails on this product primarily are there to retain the mattress within the frame and also for aesthetic reasons. Our suggestion is that the mattress is between 150mm and 200mm thick which is a typical thickness of many mattresses.”
(The images on our site, the mattresses (illustrative purposes only) are shown as being the same height as the bed rail).

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Malibu Cabin Bed Frame - White and Acacia:

I am unable to answer your query fully as you have not provided details of the actual bed guard. Most bed guard fit under the mattress if this is the case then yes a bed guard can be used with this bed.

It depends on the bed guard, if it fits under the mattress as most of them appear to do then it should be ok. The thing to watch will be where the bed guard pivots to fold down, to make sure this fits over the side rail.
