Fast and reliable HDD
This is the second Seagate Expansion Plus I’ve purchased (first one was 1TB). They are extremely reliable - no connectivity issues, no random USB disconnections, and no hiccups. Even with big files transfer speeds are fast and stable. On the top of that they're very quiet, which is benefit for daily usage. I can definitely recommend if you need extra storage.

Happy So Far: all the features available
I have a previous Seagate Backup Plus, and as expected this works without issue so far. this 'Plus' version comes with backup tools which I have not got round to using on this one yet,: can just be used it as a copy and drop drive, which is also very useful. Only 4-star because I have not used all the features yet - and the review option will expire before I get around to that.

It will need to use a format supported by OSX, which accepts APFS, FAT and exFAT.
This device is formatted as exFAT by default.

Bought this Portable Hard Drive in October 2025 and it was formatted as NTFS straight out of the box.
Suits me fine as its being used as a backup for a Windows 11 25H2 laptop.

You can use this external drive to save downloaded PS5 games onto, in order to free up space on your PS5 SSD for new games. You cant play games from this drive however on the console. They can only be played when reloaded onto the PS5 itself.
