Smaller than my previous 2TB drive!
Bought this to replace a gigantic (big case) 2TB USB3 external drive that was starting to error, to copy across as much data as possible. Was surprised at how small this was, suspect advertised product weight is far too high? This one is barely larger than a credit card. It certainly does the job though - just be prepared to wait for 2TB to finish copying!

Fast and reliable HDD
This is the second Seagate Expansion Plus I’ve purchased (first one was 1TB). They are extremely reliable - no connectivity issues, no random USB disconnections, and no hiccups. Even with big files transfer speeds are fast and stable. On the top of that they're very quiet, which is benefit for daily usage. I can definitely recommend if you need extra storage.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Seagate Expansion Plus 2TB Portable Hard Drive: ''Yes, the Seagate Expansion Plus 2TB Portable Hard Drive (model 271819) is compatible with the Mac Mini 2 (2023). However, please note that it will need to be formatted for full use with macOS. Keep in mind that formatting will permanently erase all existing data on the drive, including pictures, videos, music, and documents, and this data cannot be recovered without incurring costs.''

This is SMR and not server preferred CMR. You could still use it as a donor drive for a server but you will be limited to SMR processes.

It will need to use a format supported by OSX, which accepts APFS, FAT and exFAT.
This device is formatted as exFAT by default.
