Garmin Drive Smart 66
Bought this a few months ago and got to use it in a handful of journeys. Initially it looked fine but eventually realised that the battery is very poor and needs to be on power all the time (got less than 1 hour on a charge on battery power). Also, had it crash on me a few times (switching off and on during a trip or completely freeze after an update). Updates also take a long time. Looks nice, sleek, super light and the screen is superb but poor in every other respect. Especially dependability and battery. Disappointing product.

Disappointing doesn't do as it should
Poor performance on all levels. Routinely pick odd, longer and out of the way routes despite being set to take the quickest route. At the most, it added anything up to 15 mins detour on a 30 min drive! I thoroughly tested it by setting it then when it picked odd routes detouring from my usual route I turned off onto my usual route and waited for the recalculated route to give a time. Anything from 3 mins up to 15 mins faster on 15-30 min trips for **not** following Garmin's routing. It had no idea where I lived, placing my home somewhere in the neighbouring estate and the power to the screen kept fluctuating when driving so it frequently, without warning went too dark to view. First and last time buying a Garmin. Back to Tom Tom.

Can’t beat price for features
This is an excellent satnav with many features it would cost much more for with other brands. It can be used for hands free talking by linking to my mobile. All in all I am happy with it, however it does have some strange ideas on directions at times. I thought this might be due to traffic issues but it wasn’t. It often takes longer routs than it need to. On balance though I am very happy with it for price and features having used it for six months now.

All went well with the Sat Nav order which arrived a day early. However, it was pre set up in Hungarian and did not come with any instructions on how to change it! Also, the 32Gb Sandisk that was recommended to buy with the Sat Nav on their website was the wrong type. I then had to drive a 6 mile round trip to have it changed to be a micro disk..
