Bad eggs!
I give 2 for being the closest to standard UK loaves. Unfortunately, due to the guide it is my belief this has potential issues. It claims you can make omelette so I tried. I followed the instructions precisely, loaded the trays, shut the lid and immediately egg started spewing out but hardening with the heat. Hey presto Triangular omelettes. When it came to cleaning it however, by accident as I tipped the Sandwich Toaster raw egg started spilling out. Raw egg leaked inside the sealed, non-cleanable section of the appliance. Even when dried, food contamination inside an inaccessible area poses a hygiene risk and is unacceptable for safe ongoing use. This also poses as a risk to bad smells. My opinion is do not use it for wet liquids like eggs. Either remove from guide or improve the design to prevent access under the heating tray.

Bought to replace previous Breville sandwich maker. Same good quality and performance. I would have preferred the plates to have accommodated larger slices of bread. They are smaller than previous model.

The non-stick coating was not tested against PFOA and PTFE and may contain traces which would be within European/UK requirements. All Breville products are tested and comply with all current safety regulations and legislation to ensure they are safe to use.

Since buying this toaster because it says on the Q and A that it takes larger size bread such as Warburtons .It does not it over hangs by some distance.Small size bread is required.Mine is going back to Argos

The Breville VST082 Ultimate 2 Portion Sandwich Toaster - Black is a deep fill toaster and will take large sliced toastie bread. There is no need to cut off the crusts as the sandwich toaster seals the sandwich so crusts are left on and little or no leakage should occur.
