About this product
Perfect toasties with neatly sealed fillings, every single time. The Breville VST082 2 Portion Sandwich Toaster makes meal times effortless with deep-fill plates that handle generous fillings and a clever cut and seal system that creates neat triangles while locking everything inside. The 850W power gets your toasties golden and crisp in minutes, whether you're making classic cheese and ham or experimenting with leftover chicken, vegetables or sweet fillings. The longer heating feature ensures even browning across both sandwiches, so there are no pale patches or burnt corners.
Cleaning up takes seconds thanks to the removable non-stick plates that pop straight in the dishwasher, and when you're done, the handle lock lets you store it upright to maximise worktop space. The cord storage and flat rear panel mean it sits flush against the wall or tucked in a cupboard without any awkward angles. You'll get a reassuring 1-year guarantee too.

Breville sandwich maker praised for deep fill, removable plates for easy cleaning, even toasting, and robust design. Some issues with hinge durability and fitting thick bread.

Hi Faye,
The non-stick coating was not tested against PFOA and PTFE and may contain traces which would be within European/UK requirements. All Breville products are tested and comply with all current safety regulations and legislation to ensure they are safe to use.

I hope this helps?

Hi Juland,
I am afraid this very model is not designed for paninis. Nonetheless, we do have a model VST026 with flat plates which I believe should live up to your expectations. For more information, please visit our official website.
Since buying this toaster because it says on the Q and A that it takes larger size bread such as Warburtons .It does not it over hangs by some distance.Small size bread is required.Mine is going back to Argos
Hi Sixpence
The Breville VST082 Ultimate 2 Portion Sandwich Toaster - Black is a deep fill toaster and will take large sliced toastie bread. There is no need to cut off the crusts as the sandwich toaster seals the sandwich so crusts are left on and little or no leakage should occur.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Sal,
Yes, the plates are removable.
Thanks for using Q&A
