“ This device has been developed for use with PC/Laptop with Windows/Mac Os and Chrome OS.
It hasn't been tested with consoles and we can't confirm the compatibility. ”

I definitely do not recommend that. This is a passive hub, and USB 2.0 only. To connect a hard drive you will need at least USB 3.0 spec for data speed, and you will need one that has its own mains power supply.
