Measurement for this item do ot take into account the lid. Had to return because with the extra few cms for lid this item wouldn't fit under the bed, other than that very roomy storage.

The lid is not hinged in the middle as it opens as one piece.

This are external but from the bottom part. they dont fit a 60cm space, they are about 66cm plus the handles.

Strata 50 Litre Underbed Storage Boxes - Set of 2 has bumps coming out of each corner to help with the stacking of the boxes. The plastic used to make these boxes makes the base smooth to the touch.
