After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Jak 60cm Picture Rail - Light Oak Effect: As this product is made of MDF with PVC foil wrapping, it is not recommended to place it over a radiator.

If you need the depth of the shelf bit itself not overall, then youre looking at about 55mm.
For context, your average FunkoPop box is 90mm deep

The rail can be fitted to plasterboard, with the correct fittings. Please see the link below, this will show the fitting instructions and the fittings needed for different wall materials. If you are in any doubt about the correct wall plugs for your wall, please seek professional advice.

The Habitat Jak 60cm Picture Rail in Birch is designed for displaying family photos and works of art. The width in the middle is 56mm, so it would depend on the size of the mug. However, it’s not specifically intended for holding mugs.
