The boxes can be used to store liquid. The lid is not water or an air tight fit. Due to this they would be classed as water resistant, rather than watertight.

These boxes were not specifically designed for food and therefore are not manufactured in a food safe environment. All boxes are made BPA free, however, they are not airtight so this would also affect the ability to store food in them.

No, but the company does make a version they call a wrapping paper storage box. Dont think its available from this retailer.
