Great for storage of many small items that took up cupboard or drawer space; easy to use an stack up. Semi transparent plastic make it easy to identify items inside. Close fitting lid gives it a good seal, yet easy to open and shut.. Good all round. Good value. As for durability, too soon to tell as I've only had it just over a week.

The lids click on to the boxes, you should just be able to press the lid on for it to shut closed.
They have a click slot on each end of the lid.
I hope that describes it ok for you.
If your ones don’t do that, return them as they must be faulty.
