Surprisingly brittle - keep children away!
I've used this type of box (not necessarily this brand) for long-term storage over many years, without problems. This time my 4-year old grandson managed to break one of the boxes whilst playing. The resulting shards are as bad as glass and could lead to serious injury. Keep children well away from these boxes.

The answer given is plain wrong. I got three and the contents from cardboard boxes do not all fit. The width and depth are about 5 cm smaller at the bottom than at the top. The photos show this reasonably well. The sizes shown are accurate though.
